Quad Cities in brief: The Boys of Summer concert set for April 27 stories

Prescott Night Out presents The Boys of Summer. They make their debut performance at 9 p.m. Friday, April 27, at Sidekicks Saloon, 6851 E. 1st St., Prescott Valley. For more information, call 924-443-5536 or visit

Known as ‘the Most Authentic-Sounding Eagles Band in America,’ the Boys of Summer ‘Endless Summer 2018 Tour’ is, indeed, just that.

The Boys of Summer are James Williamson, drums, vocals; Darrel Monson, lead guitar/vocals; Chad Quist, guitar, vocals; Chris Turbis, lead vocals, piano, guitars; David A. Williams, guitars, vocals; and Jerry Schaeffer, bass, vocals. They’re six hard-working musicians and lifelong friends who, for several decades, have played the music of the legendary rock group, the Eagles.

With each band member possessing many decades of professional experience, BOS play the true musical heart and soul of the Eagle’s music — recreating the sounds, harmonies, and most important, the feel.

The band’s continuing popularity can be attributed not only to their spot-on live performances.

SCORE hosts employment law workshop

Northern Arizona SCORE is partnering with the Prescott Area Human Resources Association to offer local employers an informative workshop; “Employment Laws — From Hiring to Firing.”

The workshop will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, at the Prescott campus of Yavapai College, Building 29. The cost is $20 to attend.

A Prescott lawyer and human resources consultant, Laura Hamblin, will be conducting the workshop. The discussion will focus on laws that are triggered at each stage of the employment process; recruiting, hiring, paying, managing and dismissing people.

To enroll in the workshop, go to or call the SCORE office at 928-778-7438.
